Hindi Temple

I love different cultures and love learning about different people. Jason took me to the Hindi Temple in Houston the other night. We learned about the many gods they worship and a few of their beliefs. I loved it.

The temple is built out of Turkish Limestone. I wish I could have gotten a picture of the intricate work that they put into making every inch of their temple look the way it does. It was fascinating.

We were even invited to stay for the prayer, but were the only ones there not of their faith and were dressed in normal clothing, so we felt a little out of place and decided to maybe go back for prayer another day.

Even though I loved learning about the Hindi culture, nothing is better than going to the temple. Yesterday was my first time in the Houston Temple. It's not very far and it was a beautiful drive. We're very blessed to have temples close to us, wherever we are.

I love that temple! We went to so many cool churches and worship places of different religions while there. You need to check them all out. It so neat to see and makes your testimony even stronger realizing how true the gospel of Jesus Christ is. Love you! See you in a week.

I have made sure both my kids know the words to "I love to see the temple". I refuse to drive by the Timp. temple everyday and not have my kids recognize it and sing me the words to my favorite primary song ever! Anyway, when I was looking at your blog, Ali goes, "Mommy, I love to see the temple!" Call it brainwashing, but my heart skipped a beat. It's moments like that that make you literally want to eat your kids! Ha! Ha!
